Availability varies depending on current workload, but many residential projects can be assessed quickly once drawings or photographs have been reviewed. Site visits can be arranged where required.
A structural engineer is typically required when removing load-bearing walls, installing steel beams, building extensions, converting lofts or carrying out other structural alterations. Structural calculations are normally required for submission to Building Control.
